Tony McGuinness, full name Anthony Patrick James McGuinness, is a British musician best known as one third of the trance group Above & Beyond and as co-founder of the record label Anjunabeats. He is also a guitarist and songwriter for the English indie band Sad Lovers & Giants, appearing on three of the group's albums between 1988 and 2002 and remaining an active member, touring the United States and Europe regularly since 2009.

Before his career in electronic music, McGuinness worked in advertising at Bosse, Massimi & Podia. In 1989 he joined Warner Music Group as a marketing specialist, where he won awards for campaigns for artists including Madonna, R.E.M., Mike Oldfield, and Simply Red. While at Warner, his interests shifted from alternative rock toward electronic dance music, and he worked in A&R for dance artists such as William Orbit and Hysteric Ego. In the early 2000s he and his brother Liam recorded electronic dance music together under the alias Nitromethane.

Still employed at Warner, McGuinness was asked to remix Chakra's "Home" and approached Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamäki of Anjunabeats to collaborate on the project. This partnership led to the formation of Above & Beyond, and McGuinness left Warner Music in 2001 to focus on the group as well as the project Oceanlab. On Above & Beyond's second studio album, Group Therapy, he delivered his first vocal performance on record, on the track "Black Room Boy" alongside Richard Bedford.

In 2024, McGuinness released Salt, a solo rock album he had written some thirty years earlier in the 1990s.
