Daddy Earl (real name reportedly Earl Hyman) is a British reggae-rooted MC from the Hackney area of East London, best known for his work in UK jungle and drum & bass. He is the twin brother of Carlton "Smiley" Hyman, one half of the pioneering label and act Shut Up and Dance.

In the early 1980s, Earl was the reggae MC in a home-made Hackney sound system, originally called Sir Lena and later renamed Heatwave, founded by school friends Philip "PJ" Johnson, Carlton "Smiley" Hyman, and Kevin Ford (later known as DJ Hype). Earl, a trained electrician, also helped build the system's speaker boxes. The crew was notable for blending reggae, hip-hop and soul at a time when most London sound systems specialised in a single genre, with Earl chatting in reggae style while PJ and Smiley rapped and Hype worked the turntables. This scene is widely cited as a foundational influence on the emergence of jungle and drum & bass.

While PJ and Smiley went on to found Shut Up and Dance in 1988, Earl remained closely associated with the same circle, later becoming a recurring featured vocalist on DJ Hype's releases. Notable tracks include "Coming in Good" and "Original Foundation" (Ganja Recordings, 2003) and "Dub Plate Killa" / "Look to the Future" (2004), and from the 2010s onward a series of collaborations with producer Tyke on the Playaz label, including "Blessing," "System" (2018), "Mercury" (2020) and "Earth" (2022).

Long reluctant to perform live, Earl began appearing as DJ Hype's live MC from around 2011, including at Hype's Playaz nights at Fabric in London, and has since toured internationally.
