No band from Northern Norway has worked or toured harder than Turdus Musicus. The band was formed in 1998, and up until 2010 they played everything from enormous festivals in China, through sweaty club stages in Japan and the USA, to claustrophobic basements in the depths of Russia. Everywhere they went, they carried Tromsø's hardcore banner with uncompromising pride.

Over the course of 12 years they released three albums and a number of EPs, and today they stand as one of the most genre-defining and influential bands in the Northern Norwegian underground scene.

16 years after their last concert in Tokyo, they reunited in the autumn of 2025 in a studio in Tromsø. They invited their old comrade-in-arms, Grammy-winning producer Jason Livermore (Comeback Kid, Descendents, Rise Against, Hot Water Music), to together complete a musical adventure that never got the ending it perhaps deserved back then. The result is Turdus's first album in 17 years — angrier, harder and more chaotic than ever.
