Ole Kirkeng has traveled to the snow-covered Swedish forests with Nashville-based producer Dom Billett. The result is Cowboy Lie Detector Machine. It's Kirkeng's second studio album, filled with humor, self-irony, melancholy, and brutal honesty. The album was released in January 2026 to glowing reviews.

Kirkeng first made his mark with the EP Rocking Chair in 2021, which won the Spellemann Award (the Norwegian Grammy) for Best Country Album. His path into the Americana genre began as a touring member of Courtney Marie Andrews' band, and since then he has shared the stage with names like Molly Tuttle, S.G. Goodman — and Andrews again. In 2023 came his debut album Still Not Lost, which earned him another Spellemann nomination.
