Nihilvm are a Polish band formed around 2020, shrouded in mystery with minimal information available about their members. They debuted in 2022 with the EP Life-Death-Empty on the respected black metal label Malignant Voices, and followed up with their first full-length album Ancient Cosmic Emanation in 2025, released as a collaboration between Malignant Voices and Norway’s Terratur Possessions.

The music is a suffocating fusion of black metal and death metal — heavy, ritualistic and trance-inducing. Over massive guitar tones, the vocals shift between guttural growls and deranged preaching, while subtle melodic leads break through the darkness like cracks of light in an empty universe. Comparisons to Bølzer, Kriegsmaschine and Mgła are inevitable, but Nihilvm have their own gravitational field — darker, denser, and with a cosmic dimension that elevates the music beyond genre allegiance.

Live, Nihilvm are a journey into the void. Expect a hypnotic ritual where time and form dissolve — an experience that demands you surrender to the darkness completely.
