Louis Prima and His Orchestra was a prominent musical ensemble led by Louis Prima, a versatile American musician known as the "King of the Swingers".
Born in 1910 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Prima began his career in the 1930s, forming the band Louis Prima and His New Orleans Gang, which played at the famous Famous Door jazz club in New York City.
He later moved to Los Angeles in 1935, where he expanded his group into a swing orchestra and continued to perform, record, and tour into the 1940s.
