This ever-changing, experimental folk outfit is a performative extension of Karl-Jonas Winqvist's Stockholm, Sweden-based independent label, Sing a Song Fighter. One of that imprint's earliest releases was the Second Hand Orchestra's 2015 self-titled debut, and by the time of The Wide, Wide River -- their prestigious 2021 Domino Records collaboration with James Yorkston -- Peter Morén of Peter, Bjorn & John fame had joined the fold. Taking their profile up a notch further, their second effort backing Yorkston -- 2023's The Great White Sea Eagle -- featured lead vocals from Nina Persson of the Cardigans.
