Beaten to Death is a grindcore band from Oslo, Norway, formed in 2010. The group was created by musicians known from acts such as Insense, She Said Destroy, The Cumshots, and Tsjuder. From the beginning, the band set out to combine the intensity of grindcore with melodic elements, unconventional song structures, and a raw, live-in-the-room production style.

Their debut album Xes and Strokes (2011) introduced their mix of aggression and melody, followed by Dødsfest! (2013) and Unplugged (2015), which strengthened their reputation for experimental, humorous, and genre-defying grindcore. Later releases such as Agronomicon (2018), Laat maar, ik verhuis naar het bos (2020), and Sunrise Over Rigor Mortis (2024) continued to expand their sound while maintaining a strong DIY approach.

Beaten to Death are known for their energetic live performances, live-recorded albums, and their distinctive blend of grindcore extremity with playful, melodic, and sometimes unexpectedly uplifting musical ideas.
