Ben Kama is the artist moniker of Eppu Syyrakki, a drum and bass producer and DJ from Helsinki, Finland. Beginning his musical journey in 2000 after being inspired by Adam F's "Circles," Syyrakki developed a production approach that spans multiple drum and bass subgenres including dub-infused jungle, liquid funk, and atmospheric variations. Rather than adhering to a specific drum and bass aesthetic, he has focused on production quality and dancefloor considerations, drawing from his experience as both a producer and performing DJ.
Syyrakki began producing music at the turn of the millennium and gained renewed creative momentum through active DJing, which informed his approach to production for dance-oriented contexts. His tracks include "Titan," "Celsius," "Inertia," "Regal," "In Da Jungle," "Santorin," "Extent," and "Midnight Sun." He has been featured on collaborative releases including remixes by Defence and contributions to compilations such as the Finnish Drum and Bass and Dubstep collection (2010). He maintains an active presence across multiple platforms including SoundCloud and continues to compose across drum and bass, house, techno, and bass genres.
