Annix is a drum and bass production and DJ duo from Cheltenham, consisting of Michael "Konichi" Leeder and Scott "Decimal Bass" Farrell. Formed in the mid-2000s, the pair signed to Playaz Recordings in 2012 after their track "Late Manouvre" appeared on The Flavours Vol. 4 EP. Specializing in jump-up and hard-hitting dancefloor drum and bass, Annix are known for heavy basslines, sharp sound design, and production that ranges from aggressive jump-up styles to deeper, more experimental tracks. Their approach combines stripped-back funk elements with complex drum programming and distinctive cinematic soundscapes.
Following their exclusive signing to Playaz Recordings, Annix released their debut album Inception in October 2013, which showcased both collaborative work and individual productions from Konichi and Decimal Bass. Subsequent releases include the EPs Past and Future (2014), Digital (2014), and the collaborative EP Jungle Consumes Everything featuring Teddy Killerz and Ragga Twins. Their second album Forever arrived in 2020, featuring tracks like "Axshun" and "Warriors" alongside individual contributions from both members. Notable production credits include remixes for Skrillex's OWSLA imprint and work for Black Sun Empire's Blackout Music. In 2024, Annix released "Shai Hulud," a collaboration with Mefjus on Let It Roll, and continue to operate their own label Neksus Sound. The duo regularly perform at major festivals including Let It Roll Prague and Pukkelpop, maintaining an active presence in the global drum and bass scene.
