Anita "Nitahitz" McCloud is an American songwriter, vocal producer, screenwriter, and filmmaker based in the United States. McCloud began her music industry career performing on a commercial for Herr's Potato Chips that she co-wrote with her brother Edmund "Eddie Hustle" Clement, earning an AIR Award for Best Radio Jingle. She is a Grammy Award-winning songwriter best known for her work on breakthrough R&B hits, collaborating with prominent producers including Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Toby Gad, Pete Zizzo, Scott Storch, Rockwilder, and Cory Rooney.
McCloud achieved significant success as a songwriter and vocal producer on major chart-topping records. She co-wrote the multi-platinum single U Remind Me for Usher, released on his 2001 album 8701, which won the Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and topped the Billboard Hot 100. McCloud also co-wrote Girl Talk for TLC from their 2002 album 3D, earning a Grammy Award nomination; the track featured members Lisa Lopes and Tionne Watkins addressing themes of female empowerment. Her songwriting has been recorded by artists including Boyz II Men, Heather Headley, and additional emerging recording artists. McCloud provided vocal production and co-wrote content for rapper Kurupt's single It's Over. Beyond music, she expanded her creative output to screenwriting and filmmaking, co-founding Preeminence Films, and later established Needa Hit Productions to support emerging artists through vocal coaching, songwriting, and full music production services.
