Mel-Man (born Melvin Charles Bradford) is an American West Coast hip hop producer and songwriter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Introduced to Dr. Dre by Sam Sneed in the mid-1990s, he became one of the first signees to Aftermath Entertainment and served as Dre's primary co-producer during the label's most successful period. His production style helped define the Aftermath sound in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Mel-Man co-produced nearly every track on Dr. Dre's seminal 1999 album 2001, including "Still D.R.E.", "Forgot About Dre", "The Next Episode", and "The Watcher". He also earned co-production credits on multiple tracks from Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP (2000), including "Kill You", "The Real Slim Shady", and "I'm Back". His additional production work includes tracks for Xzibit ("X", "Get Your Walk On"), Truth Hurts, Busta Rhymes, The Firm, and Snoop Dogg. In 2023, he received a co-production credit on "Doomsday" by Lyrical Lemonade, Juice Wrld, and Cordae.
