Nicky Da B (born Nickesse Trimaine Toney, March 13, 1990, New Orleans, Louisiana) was an American bounce rapper known for his rapid-fire vocal style and role in popularizing twerking culture globally. Born in the Carrollton neighborhood's Pigeon Town section of New Orleans' 17th ward, he entered the bounce scene at age 14 as a dancer under the mentorship of Big Freedia and Katey Red before transitioning to rapping. His energetic delivery and party anthems quickly established him as a rising star in the New Orleans bounce community.
In 2012, Nicky Da B released his sole album Please Don't Forget Da B, featuring standout tracks including Hot Potato Style and Go Loko. That same year, he achieved international breakthrough with Express Yourself, a collaboration with producer Diplo that became a global hit and helped introduce bounce music to worldwide audiences. Despite his limited recorded output, Nicky Da B died on September 2, 2014, at age 24 following a brief illness, leaving behind a significant legacy as one of bounce music's most promising next-generation artists.
