The Mozartists, formerly Classical Opera, were founded in 1997 by conductor Ian Page. Working with its award-winning period-instrument orchestra, the company presents an average of six to eight public projects each season, including illuminating concert programmes, operas, recordings and TV and radio broadcasts. We perform in leading venues in the UK and internationally and our growing list of recordings includes an ongoing cycle of Mozart operas. All our recordings are highly acclaimed, and many have also been nominated for awards and hailed as benchmark recordings.
