Donna Marie Onions, also known as DMO and Donji, is a UK vocalist who first became prominent in the mid-2000s as a featured artist in the British hardcore and happy hardcore scene. Based in the North-West of England, she established herself as a sought-after vocalist on Evolution Records, Blatant Beats, and related imprints, working extensively with producers Scott Brown, Brisk, Hixxy, and Sharkey. Her breakthrough came with tracks like "Really Need You" with Scott Brown in 2004 and "Call My Name" in 2005, which appeared on the popular Bonkers compilation series.
During her hardcore career from 2004 to 2014, Onions contributed vocals to numerous anthems including "Fade Away" with Scott Brown, "Never Be Alone" with Brisk & Vagabond, "Every Single Day" with Ham, and "Make U Mine" with Brisk & Darwin. Her tracks frequently appeared on major hardcore compilations including multiple entries in the Bonkers series, Clubland X-Treme Hardcore, and Hard, Fast And Furious. Following her final hardcore release "My Heartbeat" on DJ Brisk's Til Death Us Do Party in 2014, Onions transitioned into country, folk rock, roots, blues, and bluegrass music, showcasing her versatility as a vocalist across dramatically different genres and continuing to create and perform under her given name.
