Oliver Smith is a British trance DJ and producer who has become one of the most influential figures in the modern trance scene. As the first signing to the Anjunabeats record label, Smith rose to prominence initially as part of the duo Smith & Pledger alongside Mark Pledger, gaining critical acclaim and DJ support in the early 2000s. Described by Armin van Buuren as "an excellent DJ," by Mixmag as "the best thing to happen in trance," and as "sensational" by DJ Magazine, Smith has consistently delivered melodic, driving trance productions that have helped define the Anjunabeats sound.
Smith holds the unique distinction of being the only producer besides label bosses Above & Beyond to have featured on all 16 "Anjunabeats Volume" compilations, cementing his position as a cornerstone artist for the label. His solo career has produced numerous standout tracks including "Lovingly," "Warehouse," and "Be Alone," which have become essential additions to trance sets worldwide.
