Sasha Go Hard, born Yaneisha Franklin on November 8, 1991, in Chicago, is a rapper and singer from the South Side.
Influenced by Missy Elliott, Aaliyah, and TLC, she began writing rhymes at 12. Nicknamed “Sasha Fierce” by her uncle, she adopted “Sasha Go Hard” to reflect her ambition. Emerging in Chicago’s drill scene in the early 2010s, she stood out in a male-dominated genre with her raw, energetic flow. Her early mixtapes, like Glory Girl (2011) and Round 3, gained attention, followed by Nutty World, No Problems (2018), and Make America Ratchet Again. She collaborated with Chief Keef, Young Chop, Katie Got Bandz, and Chella H, and appeared on the Chi-Raq and Insecure soundtracks.
A contestant on Rhythm + Flow (2018) and an actress in The Chi (2023), she advocates for female empowerment in hip-hop. Her music, available on Spotify and SoundCloud, reflects her resilience and evolution beyond drill.
