Caresha Romeka Brownlee, aka Yung Miami, born February 11, 1994, in Miami, Florida, is a rapper from the duo City Girls with JT. Raised in Opa-locka, a rough Miami neighborhood, she was shaped by trap music and artists like Lil Wayne, Trina (Miami’s rap queen), and Gucci Mane, inspiring her bold style and energetic flow. Her gritty upbringing, with a mother, Keenya Young, frequently in prison, fueled her raw, authentic lyrics. As teens, she and JT, childhood friends, rapped for fun, soaking up the Dirty South vibe.
Before music, Caresha was an Instagram influencer, promoting her clothing line. In 2017, she and JT formed City Girls, recording their debut single "Fuck Dat Nigga" in a cousin’s warehouse. The raw track, funded by a local promoter, became a regional hit for its provocative lyrics and energy. Their flashy style and unapologetic attitude caught the eye of Quality Control Music, who signed them. In 2018, their feature on Drake’s "In My Feelings" launched them globally. That same year, their mixtape Period and album Girl Code, with platinum hits "Twerk" and "Act Up", cemented their place in rap.
A mother of two, Jai (born 2013) and Summer (born 2019), she dated Southside and Diddy (2021-2023). Today, she continues music, solo projects, and business ventures while remaining a trap culture icon.
