Natina Tiawana Reed was an American R&B singer, rapper, and actress born on October 28, 1980, in Queens, New York. Raised in Atlanta from age four, Reed became best known as a founding member of the late 1990s girl group Blaque alongside Shamari Fears and Brandi Williams. Discovered by TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, Reed initially worked as a songwriter for TLC before rising to fame with Blaque's 1999 debut single "808". The group's contemporary R&B and hip hop soul sound, heavily influenced by their mentor Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, helped define the teen pop and R&B crossover movement of the late 1990s.

Blaque's self-titled debut album, released in 1999 through Trackmasters Entertainment and Columbia Records, reached number 23 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and achieved Platinum certification with domestic sales exceeding 1.5 million copies. The group's major hits included "Bring It All To Me," "808," and "I'm Good", with "Bring It All To Me" featuring a collaboration with *NSYNC. Beyond music, Reed expanded into acting, appearing in the cheerleading film "Bring It On" (2000) and later in "Honey" (2003). The group also collaborated with their mentor on Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes's 2001 solo album "Supernova" on the track "Head to the Sky". Reed tragically died on October 26, 2012, just two days before her 32nd birthday, after being struck by a car near Lilburn, Georgia, leaving behind a lasting impact on late 1990s R&B and pop culture.
