Zaire Miylaun, known as Lady London, born June 25, 1995, in New York, is an American rapper of Jamaican and Trinidadian descent. Raised between New Jersey and the Bronx, she grew up in a hip-hop-heavy environment, with her mother being a fan of Lil’ Kim, Jay-Z, and other genre icons. At 11, she discovered poetry, which became an outlet for her rebellious energy and fueled her writing skills. Influenced by Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, and Nicki Minaj, she developed a style blending poetic flow, sharp punchlines, and captivating stage presence.
While studying sports medicine and chemistry at Howard University, she performed at poetry slams in Washington D.C., filling venues without initially pursuing music, aiming instead to become an orthopedic surgeon. Everything changed in 2018 when a poem she recorded in her car went viral on Instagram, amassing over eight million views. Despite earning a master’s in global medicine from the University of Southern California, she followed her instincts and signed with a label. She taught herself music production to bypass expensive studio costs.
In 2021, her freestyle "Viral" and the single "Yea Yea" with Dreezy thrust her into the spotlight. Her debut project, Lady Like: The Boss Tape (2022), followed by the album S.L.A.C.K. (2023), showcased her lyrical prowess and ability to blend classic and modern hip-hop. She has collaborated with artists like Omeretta and Capella Grey. Single and career-focused, she embodies an independent woman’s image. Lady London remains a rising rap star, celebrated for her authenticity and charisma.
