Naomi Sharon, born Naomi Sharon Webster on March 4, 1995, in Rotterdam, Netherlands, is a Dutch singer-songwriter of Aruban and Dutch descent. Raised in a musically rich environment—her father a DJ and producer, her mother a singer, her aunt a vocalist, and her uncle part of an instrumental ensemble—she was influenced by artists like Sade, Eva Cassidy, Marcus Miller, Stevie Wonder, and Sting.
From a young age, Naomi pursued performing arts, attending Rotterdam’s Theater and Dance Academy for three years before leaving to focus on musical theater. She performed in productions like The Lion King (as Shenzi) and Dreamgirls. Vocal strain led to surgery, prompting her to shift to a solo music career to express her deep emotional identity.
In 2019, she released her debut single, "The Moon," followed by "Breeze." That same year, she gave a TEDxAmsterdamWomen talk on self-love, paired with a live performance. "Breeze" caught the attention of Drake, who reached out via Instagram, leading to Naomi becoming the first female artist signed to his OVO Sound label in 2023. Her debut album, Obsidian, released in October 2023, blends Dutch R&B and indie, exploring themes of healing, nostalgia, and transformation, inspired by the protective obsidian stone.
Now 30 years old in 2025, Naomi Sharon is known for her sultry, Sade-like vocals and introspective songwriting. She released an EP, Nothing Sweeter, in 2024 and embarked on her first tour, the Obsidian Tour, across North America and Europe.
