Artist Biography
Available in:

Jessie Murph, born Jessica Anne Murphy in Huntsville, Alabama (some sources mention Nashville or Clarksville, Tennessee), is an American singer-songwriter blending country, pop, R&B, rap, and trap. Raised in a musical family and shaped by experiences of bullying, she began writing songs at age 9. Discovered at 14 through TikTok and YouTube, she signed with Columbia Records in 2021, releasing "Upgrade" and "Always Been You" (charted on Billboard Hot 100). Her debut album, Drowning (2023), features "Pray" (gold) and "Wild Ones" (with Jelly Roll, #35 on Hot 100). In 2025, her second album, Sex Hysteria, with the controversial "1965", sparks debate. With 17 million monthly Spotify listeners, her raw voice and lyrics about love and personal struggles establish her as a rising star.
