Artist BiographyAvailable in:

Al-Gear (born October 10, 1984 in Düsseldorf as Abdelkader Zorgani) is a German rapper who is best known for his collaborations with rapper Farid Bang. He has Algerian roots and owns his own music label Milfhunter Records.
Abdelkader Zorgani grew up in the Oberbilk district of Düsseldorf. His parents divorced at the age of eleven. He left secondary school without any qualifications and served several prison sentences by his own account.
Zorgani made his first musical appearance in 2008 with a guest contribution on the debut album Asphalt Massaka by Düsseldorf rapper Farid Bang. Zorgani can also be heard on his second album Asphalt Massaka 2, which was released in 2010, with two guest appearances. In 2011, the rapper released a video for the song Miststück, which is a parody of the song Dreckstück by Bushido and Fler and reached more than four million views on YouTube. After a collaboration with the rappers Eko Fresh and Baba Saad, Zorgan's first solo album Kein Feat. für Spastis was released on November 9, 2012, which contains no guest contributions from other artists and reached number 52 in the German charts for one week.
Following the release of his debut album on the Blackline Records label, disputes arose between Zorgani and the label management, which led to the rapper leaving the label in 2013. In early 2014, he founded his own label Milfhunter Records and soon after signed rapper Capkekz as his first artist.
Al-Gear's second solo album Wieder mal angeklagt was released on May 23, 2014, reaching number 8 in the German charts. His third solo album DVC was released on September 7, 2018 and entered the charts at number 7.
In September 2018, it became known that Zorgani had been convicted of fraud, a conviction that has since become final. According to the order, the rapper had received welfare benefits for several months in 2014, although he had an average income of 8,600 euros per month. He was sentenced to a fine of 13,600 euros (80 daily rates of 170 euros each) for this.
Zorgani had to stand trial once again in November 2019. He was sentenced to seven months' probation and a payment of 2,400 euros for insulting an employee of the Düsseldorf public order office. As Zorgani was able to prove to the court that he could not make a living from music and was always dependent on money from his girlfriend, it was agreed that he would pay 100 euro installments.
