Charles René Pierre (Charly) Luske-Jess (born 19 September 1978) is a Dutch singer, actor, television presenter, and voice actor.
When Luske was twelve years old, he took classical singing lessons, urged by his father. Four years later he made his debut in theLucky Lotto Live Show in which he together withGordon sang a duet. Luske auditioned for the boys group Velvet, of which he was a part of for a time and with which he scored a hit with the song 'Weg Van Jou'. After the band disbanded, he sang for some time in the boy group X Marks The Spot. In 2000 Luske played in theMusical Boy Band, in which he played one of the main roles as singer Sean.
In 2003, Luske played together withFroukje de Both andLinda Wagenmakers in the musical Love Me Just a Little Bit More. In 2004 Charly participated in theNational Eurovision with the song She'll Take Your Breath Away. He ended up in the final, but achieved fourth place. In 2005 and 2006, he starred in the musical Turkish fruit the role of Rick, as alternate ofAntonie Kamerling Luske played twoseasons in the Dutch television seriesGirls of De Wit. He has also played guest roles inCosta! andZOOP. In 2006, he starred in the musicalThe Wiz the title role as alternate ofDanny the Munk Luske starred in the rock musical We Will Rock You, a German-language musical that was staged inCologne, and as Geert in the musical version ofIn the hope of blessing. In the fall of 2009, Luske was featured in the Dutch version ofThe Full Monty.
From August 2010 he was also seen in the Dutch version ofWe Will Rock You, in which he would be alternate of Galileo and Britt. Luske took on the role of Britt until February 2011, becauseMartin van der Starre was seriously injured.
Luske was a candidate in 2011 on the television programThe voice of Hollandand was byNick & Simon coached. For the audience and the jury, he was the winner. However, he had to admit his superior in the semi-finals inChris Hordijk On Thursday, April 5, 2012, Luske was seen asJudas Iskariot inThe Passion He was the opponent in this ofDanny the Munk who played the role of Jesus. The event was held inRotterdam In 2013 Luske participated in the programThe best singers in the Netherlands.
