Stig Brenner, formerly known as Unge Ferrari, is one of Norway's most distinctive voices in hip hop, trap, and R&B. The artist, whose real name is Stig Joar Haugen and who was born and raised in Hamar, debuted in 2015 with the EP "Til mine venner" ("To My Friends") – a release that immediately put him on the map with the breakthrough songs "Lianer" and "Hvis du vil" ("If You Want"), the latter in collaboration with Tomine Harket. The debut earned him nominations for both the Spellemann Award and P3 Gull for Newcomer of the Year, and marked the start of a career that has grown steadily bigger ever since.
In 2018, he released the album "Midt imellom magisk og manisk" ("Somewhere Between Magical and Manic"), which went straight to number one on the VG chart and once again earned him Spellemann Award nominations – this time for both Songwriter of the Year and Album of the Year. Since then, he has followed up with critically acclaimed releases such as "Hvite duer, sort magi" ("White Doves, Black Magic") and "Slipp meg ut" ("Let Me Out"), building a catalog of hit songs like "Balkong" ("Balcony") and "Vi Kanke Være Venner" ("We Can't Be Friends"), songs that have gained attention far beyond Norway's borders.
Stig Brenner is just as well known for his stage presence as for his music. He has toured sold-out venues across Scandinavia and taken the stage in Iceland, Scotland, and Hungary, as well as performing at SXSW in Austin, Texas. In 2025, he represented Norway in the music competition The Song alongside Newkid, with the song "Bare mellom oss" ("Just Between Us"). With multiple platinum certifications, a loyal fan base, and a reputation for high-energy concerts, Stig Brenner is an artist audiences sing along with – from the first line to the last.
