The band was founded in June 1996 in Bernau, Brandenburg near Berlin. In there texts, Oxo86 describes the skinhead life, drinking and party topics, but also deals with serious things, such as resistance to surveillance and National Socialism and calls for political engagement.
Oxo86 had various record contracts with the labels Sunny Bastards, Nix-Gut Records, Scumfuck Mucke and PukeMusic.
