brenn. is a Norwegian rock duo from Oslo, formed in 2017 by Edvard Smith Save (guitar, vocals) and Rémy Malchère Pettersen (drums). Even though they are just two members, the band sounds like a full ensemble – tight, energetic, and packed with big melodies, often sung in their local dialect.

Their debut album Elsker (2019) made a strong impact on the Norwegian rock scene, earning them the Spellemann Award for Rock Album of the Year, a nomination for Breakthrough of the Year, and a NOPA songwriting award. The follow‑up Vandrer på solskinn (2022) continued their rise, with significant attention in the national press and sold‑out vinyl editions. In 2024 they released Duster til himmelriket, taking their sound in new directions.

Musically, brenn. delivers melodic rock driven by catchy riffs, punchy drumming, and a playful yet intense energy. Their songs combine 90s grunge distortion with modern pop hooks, and the lyrics capture both everyday life and emotional turbulence.

Live, brenn. is known for explosive and engaging performances. They deliver shows that are both raw and precise, with a stage presence that has earned them nominations like P3 Gull’s Live Artist of the Year and appearances at Øyafestivalen and By:Larm.
