After the break-up ofpost-hardcore/punk rock band John Coffey, Tusky was born. Out of pure love between guitarist Alfred van Luttikhuizen, guitar tech Sjors van Reeuwijk and drum tech Bas Allein Richir (all three from the John Coffey team), supplemented by bassist Justin Ghijsen, who was later succeeded by John Coffey guitarist. on bass guitar Christoffer van Teijlingen. In 2018 debut album 'Rated Gnar' followed on V2 Records, which showed a hungry and fiery band that was strongly influenced by 90's punk rock bands: fast & furious but yet very melodic & catchy. A series of club shows and festivals followed at Noorderslag, Zwarte Cross, MadNes, Jera on Air, Paaspop, Welcome to the Village and in Germany, Belgium, France, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Lithuania.

Alfred and Christoffer decided to leave the band in 2021 whitch led Tusky to recruit Vladimir Stevic and Quirin Wijgers from the bands Pene Corrida and All Doomed.
