El Corte was an Argentinian goth-rock / post-punk band formed in Buenos Aires in 1986 by Javier Calamaro and Hernán Reyna after the dissolution of their previous band —Frappé— in 1985. They released two albums before disbanding, El Corte (1986) and El Camino Contrario (1987). Along with fellow band Euroshima, El Corte remains as one of the most iconic Argentinian dark acts from the 80s.
