François Espinasse , born on2 octobre 1961, is a French organist .
He carried out his musical studies at the national conservatory of Toulouse region . He won his first organ prize in Xavier Darasse's class . He then perfected himself with the organist André Isoir .
He is the titular organist of the Saint-Séverin church in Paris , organ professor at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon , member-rapporteur of the Superior Commission of Historical Monuments (organ and musical instruments section). In 2010, he was appointed titular organist by quarters of the organ of the Royal Chapel of the Palace of Versailles with Michel Bouvard, Frédéric Desenclos and Jean-Baptiste Robin .
He is the winner of several international competitions (Toulouse, Tokyo-Musashino in Japan). His international career as a concert performer and teacher (masterclasses, seminars ...) has led him to perform in more than twenty countries until now. Passionate about contemporary creation, he has notably created works by Gilbert Amy , Betsy Jolas , Pierre Farago, Philippe Hurel ...
He is regularly invited as a member of the jury of international organ competitions (Odense, Innsbruck, Chartres of which he is a member of the artistic committee, Toulouse, Tokyo ...). He is a member of the founding committee of the French journal Orgues Nouvelles.
