Composer, conductor and pianist. From 1980 to 1992 he collaborated continuously with the permanent theater of Parma, writing the music for highly successful shows, such as P. Weiss's L'Istruttoria or Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing . Since 1984 he has collaborated with the Teatro delle Briciole in Parma and in 2000 he joined the artistic direction. For this theater he composed more than 20 shows: among these Pinocchio da Collodi produced by the Teatro alla Scala, A kiss… a kiss again , produced by the Verdi Festival, With the doll in the pocket by Bruno Stori. In 1996 he founded the Trio Gardel; in the same year the collaboration with Maddalena Crippa begins. Several shows were born with her:Canzonette vagabonde , Sboom directed by C. Pezzoli (more than 250 performances throughout Italy), Schoenberg Kabaret and Femmine Fatali (commissioned by the Salzburg music festival) directed by Peter Stein. In 2004 he wrote with Maddalena Crippa and Letizia Quintavalla A Sud de l'Alma , a show of poems and songs, which he took on tour in 2005 and 2006. He wrote pop music songs for Franco Battiato, Alice and Giuni Russo, proposing himself as author or arranger , often contaminating pop and classical music. In 1995 he wrote the opera Il canto del cigno which made its debut at the Busseto theater for the Verdi Manifestations. He also composes the opera The Princess of the Moon by Andreina Chiari Branchi, played by Mirella Freni, Renato Bruson, Lucio Dalla and Elio Pandolfi.
