Messa is an Italian doom metal band formed in Padua in 2014. Known for their genre-defying sound, the band blends traditional doom metal with elements of jazz, blues, progressive rock, and occult atmosphere, creating a distinctive and emotionally charged musical identity. Fronted by vocalist Sara Bianchin, whose expressive and versatile voice is a defining feature of the band, Messa also includes Alberto Piccolo (guitar), Marco Zanin (bass), and Rocco Toaldo (drums).

The band released their debut album Belfry in 2016, earning attention within the underground doom scene for its dark, ritualistic tone and strong songwriting.

Messa is widely regarded as one of the most innovative acts in contemporary doom metal, praised for their musical ambition, emotional depth, and refusal to be confined by traditional genre boundaries.
