Pavlo Beznosiuk (born on4 juillet 1960in Sheffield ) is an English conductor and violinist specializing in the practice of historical performance .
Son of Ukrainian-Irish parents, he is one of the most renowned artists in the field of early music, both as solo violinist, chamber musician and conductor. He plays on baroque or modern violin and a variety of stringed instruments, such as the viola d'amore , the Renaissance violin, the viola and the medieval precursors of the family of the violin and the fiddle .
He has performed with many world famous ensembles, such as the Parley of Instruments , the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra , the Beethoven String Trio of London , the Hanover Band , the New London Consort and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment . He has also collaborated with the Polish ensemble L'Arte dei Suonatori or Le Parlement de Musique in France.
He is a director and Konzertmeister of the Academy of Ancient Music and the music director of Avison Ensemble.
Pavlo Beznosiuk is Professor of Baroque Violin at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music . His sister, Lisa Beznosiuk, is Professor of Baroque Flute at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music.
