AJ Tracey (born Ché Wolton Grant, 4 March 1994, in Ladbroke Grove, London) is one of the most distinctive voices in British rap. Before settling on the name AJ Tracey, he recorded under names like Loony, Loonz and Lil Tracey, before making his mark on pirate radio as part of the Team Got Paid collective from 2015.

He released his self-titled debut studio album independently on 8 February 2019, following his 2017 EP Secure the Bag! The album went gold with the BPI and reached number three on the UK charts. The record's biggest song, "Ladbroke Grove," became a triple-platinum single and is widely credited with reigniting the UK garage sound.

AJ Tracey followed up with his second album, Flu Game, released through Revenge Records on 16 April 2021, blending British hip-hop, UK drill, afroswing, trap and R&B. The album debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and topped both the UK Independent and UK R&B charts.

His third studio album, Don't Die Before You're Dead, arrived on 13 June 2025 via Revenge Records, led by singles including "Joga Bonito" and "Crush," the latter featuring Jorja Smith. His open-minded, genre-blending approach has continued to reach new generations of rap fans and earned him multiple award nominations, including the Brits Billion Award in 2023 for surpassing one billion UK streams.

Alongside his solo work, he has remained a fixture of the UK scene through collaborations with artists like Digga D, Aitch, Mabel, Headie One and Pozer, and continues to headline major festival stages as one of British hip-hop's most consistently boundary-pushing figures.
