minus123minutes (originally written −123 min) is a Czech music group that combines several genres in its music, especially jazz, blues, funky, and world music. Its strength lies primarily in live performances, which are largely made up of improvisation. According to Zdeněk Bína, the name of the group originated quite an by accident, only as a play of words, and has a no deeper meaning. Winning the 1999 Academy of Popular Music Award in the Discovery of the Year category greatly contributed to the group's popularity.
