Strawberry Machine is Akira Okabe's solo electro-pop project. Akira is a female vocalist living in Nagoya. Her hushed "whispery" voice overflows with charm.

She debuted with the cassette tape the au pomme in 1998. She has since released three albums - zero zero five, crazy kilt, and Girl Friend - on which she has collaborated with producers and artists from all over the world.
