I started playing guitar in 1962, when I got a light blue Hagstrom Kent as a Christmas gift from my father. My greatest role model was when the British instrumental group The Shadows, and above all their super cool solo guitarist Hank B Marvin. Very soon I began listening to blues music, I got one day to hear "Still A Fool" by Muddy Waters on the radio, then it was run. My biggest influences in music comes from the fifties and sixties. The most important in terms of guitar, besides Hank B, Jimi Hendrix and Albert King.
In the 70s, I played very skfusion, ie God's blend of Rock / Jazz / Latin with a very large element of improvisation - it sounded enough for most of the DJ-vligt, but we had lots of fun! The teams I played with in the seventies called: paraphernalia, sofa, Dovre, west wind, and Schnabel. In the late 70s I had definitely had enough and wanted to "down to earth" again. Punk Movement inspired me to put together a raw rock band with feet in the muddy blues. The group called Sky High, and would prove to hold "forever!" We made five albums in the '80s: "Sky High", with Swedish text came in 1980, no2 "Still Rockin '" with English subtitles-proddad of Lou Stonebridge (The Blues Band) was the 1982nd Our big break came with album No. 3 - "Freezin'Hot" which was launched via an expertly made concert video on such MTV in 1985.
Our fourth and so far the most commercially successful album "Humanizer" came in 1987 and the last 80's album - "Have Guitar, Will Travel" I made along with a bunch of prestigious American rock musicians (Prairie Prince, from The Tubes-trummor/Ross Valory , from Journey - Bass / Norton Buffalo, from Steve Miller Band - harmonica and Tim Gorman, from The Who - keyboards) in San Francisco

Purple Haze...
A number of Jimi Hendrix tunes arranged for big band by Mats Yngström's, leader and percussionist of Uppsala Big Band. The album was recorded at Polar Studio in November 1996, mainly live in the studio. Some fixes and overdubs were recorded in a small studio in Uppsala during the spring of 1997. The album was mixed in the studio of Paradise Park in Copenhagen, Denmark, during the spring of 1998, and released in the early summer same year. http://www.lastbuzz.com/yngstrom.html .
