Sharkmuffin is a “Brooklyn garage noise pop” band composed of Tarra Thiessen (guitar/vox) and Natalie Kirch (bass/vox). The band released their first album in 2015, which featured former Hole drummer Patty Schemel but have maintained a "revolving door of drummers" including Jordyn Blakely, Kim Deuss, and Janet LaBelle.

About
The Jersey shore natives released three EPs in 2013, including self-titled Sharkmuffin, 1097, and She-Gods Of Champagne Valley on Dazzleships Records.

In 2015, they released their debut LP Chartreuse on State Capital Records. Drummer Patty Schemel was featured on the album, but Sharif Mekawy would drum on tour, as well as with Davey Jones on guitar .

The bands second album, Tuski, was released in May 2017 on Little Dickman Records. The album included a track called “Scully is A Sharkmuffin," which the band said was their "ode to The X-Files." The album featured Kim Deuss on drums but the band also toured with Drew Adler on drums and Chris Nunez on guitar, and released a second pressing of Tsuki including two new tracks featuring Jordyn Blakely on drums/vox in July 2018 via Little Dickman Records.

In July 2017, they released The Off White, Sharkmuffin - Sharkmuffin & The Off White EP on Little Dickman Records.

"With a sound that bounces between grunge, hard rock, psychedelic, surf and everything in between," the group started inside a "Jersey Shore Beach House". The band count Nirvana and The Ronettes among their influences.

Their song, "Big" was featured in the "Black-Haired Ginger" episode of the Showtime comedy "Shameless," which originally aired on October 7, 2018.
