The FIABA born in '91 in Syracuse by Bruno Rubino, drummer of the band and author of the songs, which brings together under this name some musicians known in the past and like him in search of a new sound. Noticed immediately by the specialized press, the FIABA receive offers from various labels including the German W.M.M.S. and the Swiss WHITCHHUNT, signing in 1993 for Mellow. It is the turn of "XII L 'appiccato" (May '94), the first CD with which they establish themselves as one of the most interesting bands in the current rock scene. In 1996 they signed a new contract with the Pick-up records, with which they make their second album: "The hat has three points". Followed by the song "The gem in the well" contained in the compilation "The sound under the ashes" dedicated to new Italian musical reality for the Ricordi Mediastore. In September 2001 they released their third album, a concept album entitled "The stool of the toad" (Lizard-Audioglobe), In 2002 the French director Marc Faye made a documentary about them following them on stage for a few months. During the same year FIABA signed a new contract with Pierluigi Cavarra's PCFILM, with which they made their first DVD "I sogni di Marzia" videoclip of the homonymous suite contained in their first album and which over the years became a real piece of cult in the group's repertoire. This artistic partnership will lead to the realization of the videoclip "Scerrinath il fiore delle bugie" (2004) and their first double (CD + DVD), entitled "I racconti del giullare cantore" (2005), containing the video clip of the opening track "Angelica and the willow sprite ". It is not possible to label the sound of the FIABA, unique in their kind; in fact, while proposing passages in Italian, they are not stylistically comparable to any other training currently present in our country.
