KLIODNA - metal band from Minsk. The name is borrowed from the mythology of the Irish Celts, where Kliodna is the goddess of beauty, sea and the afterlife. Minsk group of young metalheads gathered in early 2013 with the desire to create high-quality metal. Young people have had some experience playing in different bands, performing music of different styles. But KLIODNA once took a course on writing melodic, powerful, traditional metal. Therefore, the basis is characteristic of power metal / heavy metal sound, spiced with elements of symphonic metal. Also characteristic of a female voice - gentle, but at the same time powerful.
In 2014, he wrote and rehearsed enough material, KLIODNA first appearance in Grodno. Also during the year they held several concerts. And in September, the band publishes the first release - EP, titled "SET ME FREE", which included 4 songs. A number of copies of which went outside Belarus (Great Britain, Brazil, Canada and Japan). Until the end, the band played a couple of local gigs, in parallel to start recording a full-length album.
In 2015 KLIODNA, in addition to work on the album, takes part in several summer festivals and club gigs. Autumn performs with the German band Van Canto, increasing their popularity in their hometown and gaining new fans. Young group of finishes to record a debut album (which will include 10 tracks), soon hoping to tell the audience about the dark side of stories. Is the name given to the album.
