David El Malek (born in Pantin, France on June 30, 1970) is a jazz saxophonist known for his projects with pianist Baptiste Trotignon.
Biography :
David El-Malek was born in 1970 in Pantin, in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, in Seine-Saint-Denis. He grew up in Israel, where he stayed until 1979. Back in France at the age of eight, he made his first musical steps in the 1990s. He began his musical training at the Conservatoire de Montreuil, training he continues with Jean-Claude Forenbach. Award of soloist, saxophone, and composition, at the National Competition of Defense, he is noted at the competition of Jazz de Vannes.
Musical career
David El Malek played with Laurent Coq, Pierre de Bethmann, or Baptiste Trotignon. He composed Music from source for Radio France.
