Jean-Claude Veilhan (born February 9, 1940 in Nice) is a French composer, flutist and clarinetist.

Like the famous trio formed by Mozart's clarinettists, Anton Stadler, his brother Johann and Raymond Grisbacher, the Trio di Bassetto strives to revive, on period instruments, compositions for clarinets, basset horns and blowpipes. the late eighteenth century. Through his research, particularly in the libraries of Central Europe, the trio explored the repertoire of the basset horn at that time, discovering works never played or recorded.
