The Talking Horns are a wind quartet in the field of modern jazz . The group (two woodwinds and two brass players ) emerged from the Pata Horns and was founded in 1993 in Cologne. The Talking Horns also appeared between 1994 and 2007 together with Martin Stankowski in the series Kölner Klangstätten . In 2008 they toured Africa. The playing attitude of the quartet is partly based on the imaginary folklore .
