During the last decade of the last century, in the 90s, a band of Contraxasses raged in Italy called: An Octave Sottosopra Bass Quartet.
The shady figures who composed her, sowed panic with their big instruments.
First in premises of malfeasance and then in concert halls. They even managed to "smuggle" two discreetly successful CDs: Live Recital & Flying Carpets that people bought unaware of the danger they were facing. They even damaged Chicago in '96 and Portugal in '97. Their logistics base was in Rome, in the Symphony Orchestra of the National Academy of St. Cecilia, but it was clearly just a cover for the terrible: Tony Sciancalepore & Capitan Pighi
Meanwhile in Florence the "Clan dei Fiorentini" led by Al Bocini, the undisputed Boss of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino's double bass, tried to get control over the bass notes by designing the brandNBBrecords, a record label and an internet portal dedicated exclusively to the Contrabass. In 2002, the ruthless Al Bocini was ruling out the law also in England in the London Symphony Orchestra.In Mean the other Godfather of the "clan of the Florentines" the cynical Amy da Signa called "Bernarda" to escape aivari arrest warrants was hidden in the Orchestra A.Toscanini of Parma and in the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
