Roland Maria Stangier ( 1957 ) is a German organist and university teacher .
Stangier studied with Zsolt Gárdonyi and Daniel Roth . After working as a cantor in Schopfheim Berlin , he served as cantor and organist at St. Petri in Hamburg from 1991 to 1995, succeeding Ernst-Ulrich von Kameke . In 1994 he was appointed professor of organ and organ improvisation at Folkwang University . Since 2003 he is curator of the Kuhn organ of the Philharmonie Essen , since 2009 one of the organ curators of the Philharmonie Mercatorhalle Duisburg and since 2010 titular organist of theKreuzeskirche in Essen .
