Kyrie Kristmanson began learning the guitar at the age of 9, then the trumpet at the age of 13. She was noticed in 2006 at the Winnipeg Folk Festival in Canada and released her first self-produced album, The Kyrie K Groove. In the same year, she won the Best Young Performer Award for this opus at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
She then left Canada for France, where she studied music at the Université Lumière Lyon. In parallel, Kristmanson released his second album, Pagan Love (2008). After the promotion of this record and a tour in the first part of Emilie Loizeau, the artist publishes a new album, Origin of Stars (2010), mixing folk, jazz and traditional singing.
