Anton Kim Ewald (born 7 August 1993 in Stockholm, Sweden) is a Swedish singer, dancer, choreographer and performer known for combining modern pop with high‑energy stage productions. He began his career as a background dancer in Melodifestivalen, appearing behind Velvet in 2009 and later serving as both dancer and choreographer for Danny Saucedo’s “Amazing” and Andreas Lundstedt’s “Aldrig aldrig” in 2012.
Ewald made his breakthrough as a solo artist in Melodifestivalen 2013 with the song “Begging”, written by Fredrik Kempe and Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad. After advancing through the Second Chance round, he reached the final and finished fourth. He returned to Melodifestivalen in 2014 with “Natural”, again qualifying for the final. During this period he released the EPs A, A‑coustic and On My Way, establishing himself as a rising Swedish pop act.
Between 2015 and 2019, Ewald expanded his discography with both Swedish‑language and international releases, including “Vill ha dig”, “Okej”, “Du & Jag”, “Devil”, “L.I.L.Y (Like I Love You)” and “She Don’t”. He collaborated with several well‑known producers and continued to develop his signature blend of choreography‑driven pop.
In 2021, Ewald made a notable comeback in Melodifestivalen with “New Religion”, qualifying directly to the final and finishing 11th. The same year he released additional singles such as “DeLorean” and “That Should Be Me”, further refining his modern Scandinavian pop sound.
Outside his recording career, Anton Ewald has remained active in Swedish entertainment through live performances, choreography and television appearances. In 2023–2024 he took on a major theatrical role in Moulin Rouge! The Musical at GöteborgsOperan, where he performed as part of the principal cast. His participation in the acclaimed production highlighted his versatility as both singer and dancer and introduced him to a new musical theatre audience.
Today, Anton Ewald continues to evolve as an artist, blending pop music, dance and theatrical performance. With a dedicated fanbase and a career spanning chart singles, Melodifestivalen entries and major stage productions, he remains a prominent figure in contemporary Swedish pop culture.
