Anthony J. Shears is an Award-winning American rapper, songwriter, and producer. Though currently living in Los Angeles, Shears was born in Seattle, Washington. He was raised by his mother and great-grandmother and managed to escape the inner city through music, and by getting scholarships to Phillips Exeter Academy, Morehouse College, and Dartmouth College to study economics. As of November 12, 2007, Anthony has had one Top 10 Regional release, two Top 10 Regional singles, with one of them reaching number two (Sound, Music Grind). According to KEXP Radio 90.3, "Anthony Shears hits notes I don't often hear in hip hop. On his new CD The Growth: My Endtroduction, he tackles social issues at the grass roots level. hear in hip hop."
