Vahimiti is an Italian singer-songwriter who was raised in the mythical Maori culture and music of French Polynesia, where she also has lived for a period and to which she owes her Polynesian name. Having grown up listening to the pulses of Soul, Hip Hop, R&B, Blues, and Jazz, Vahimiti's music represents a mixture of these different influences. After her experience performing in various bands, going on tour and studio recording, Vahimiti’s debut project, Motown Dream produced by the native Detroit musician Vernon D. HIll, is finally out!. The tracks on her album have involved the participation of numerous European, as well as American artists, including: Vernon D. Hill ((producer for Motown Dream and co-author of some of the songs,musician for Dwele,Slum Village,Bahamadia,Joy Denalane ),the drum player David “Fingers” Haynes ( Prince,Frank McComb, Arrested Development),the bassplayer and co-author Andrea Celestino (Dwele,Mario Biondi ),Axel Reinemer from Jazzanova, the italian rapper L'Arcano, the trombone players Antwan Gardner and Beppe di Benedetto ,the singer and co-author Chiara Cortez, the groovy guitar players Emanuele Jorma Gasperi and Andre Frappier, the Italian vocal group The Sessions Voices, the double bass player Guerino Rondolone ,Andrea Bertorelli, the American rapper Detroit Mixo and the Angolo-German singer Joao Lourenzo.
