GTA — an acronym for Good Times Ahead — is an electronic music duo from Miami, Florida, consisting of producers Julio Mejia (born December 8, 1990) and Matt Van Toth (born August 22, 1990). The pair met over social media in 2010 and began producing music together while attending Miami Dade College. Both grew up steeped in Latin music traditions — Mejia is of Honduran descent and Van Toth of Cuban descent — and elements of salsa, merengue, bachata, and reggaeton informed their sound alongside house, electro house, trap, and hip hop. The duo has described their guiding approach as "death to genres," drawing on influences spanning jazz, hip-hop, and metal.

Early support from Afrojack and Laidback Luke helped the duo gain recognition, and in 2012 Diplo featured their track "Move Around" on his Express Yourself EP, a song written by their cousin Joel Santillan. GTA subsequently released music through labels including Warner Bros., A-Trak's Fool's Gold, Laidback Luke's Mixmash, Steve Angello's Size, and Diplo's Mad Decent. They toured extensively, joining Rihanna's 2013 Diamonds World Tour and the Greater Than World Tour with Calvin Harris and Tiësto, as well as headlining their own Death to Genres Tour and Goons Take America Tours. By 2015 they had collaborated with artists such as Skrillex (a remix of "Red Lips"), Martin Solveig ("Intoxicated"), and A-Trak ("Landline"), alongside their own Death to Genres (DTG) EP series.

GTA released their debut studio album, Good Times Ahead, on Warner Bros. in late 2016, featuring guest appearances from Vince Staples, Iamsu!, and Tinashe. They followed with the singles "Buyaka" and "Talkin' Bout," then in 2018 released Death to Genres, Vol. 3, which included contributions from Dillon Francis and Baauer. That same year they issued the shorter release La Nueva Clasica, featuring the single "Buscando" with Jenn Morel.

Beyond their work as GTA, Mejia and Van Toth have pursued individual projects under the aliases JWLS and Van Toth, respectively. As JWLS, Mejia has released solo productions and remixes for artists including A-Trak and Danny Brown, while Van Toth's solo output has included a remix for Gina Turner.
